Reiki Healing
Reiki is a powerful, precise system of healing which is believed to have originated in Tibet thousands of years ago. Reiki accesses the "Universal Life Force." This energy also known as Prana, Mana, Chi, and Source, helps promote healing in all living things on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. The Reiki Master is a channel for this energy. The word Rei as it is used in Reiki is interpreted to mean knowledge of Spiritual Consciousness which is all knowing. Ki is the Life Force. It is also called the Vital Life Force or the Universal Life Force. This is the non-physical energy that animates, circulates and surrounds all living things. If there is a restriction in the flow of one's Ki a vulnerability to illness occurs. When it is high and flowing freely, better physical and mental health is experienced.
Life Force plays an important role in everything we do. It animates the body and is the primary energy of our emotions, thoughts and spiritual life. This Energy flows within the physical body through pathways called Chakras, Meridians and Nadirs. We are alive because of this. It flows around us in a field of energy called the "Aura" nourishing the organs and cells of the body as it supports them in their vital functions. When this flow of life force is disrupted, it causes diminished function in the organs and tissues of the physical body.
The Life Force is responsive to thoughts and feelings and becomes disrupted when we accept, either consciously or unconsciously, negative thoughts or feelings about ourselves. These negative thoughts and feelings attach themselves to our energy field. Thus, causing a disruption in the flow of our life force and diminishing the function of our body's organs and cells.
Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body causing the negative energy to break apart and fall away. This is where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. In so doing, Reiki clears, straightens and helps to heal the energy pathways, thus allowing the life force to flow in a healthy, natural way.
Reiki Masters are now on staff in hospitals worldwide as part of what is known today as Integrative Medicine.
Reiki Sessions
Joseph incorporates Lightarian Reiki with Vibrational Healing "Tuning Forks" in order to provide a more powerful healing session. Shamanic Healing-Journeying Music is played during the healing session in order to bring you into a meditative state for a deeper healing experience. He will also include applying a Holistic Healing Oil for pain related "dis-eases." Added Shamanic techniques further enhance your Healing Sessions.
Reiki is also being used in healing pets.

Integrative Medicine is the combination of practices and methods of Complementary Medicine with Conventional Medicine
While some of the therapies used may be nonconventional, a guiding principle within integrative medicine is to use therapies that have some high-quality evidence to support them.
Integrative medicine got a boost of greater public awareness - and funding - after a landmark 1993 study. That study showed that one in three Americans had used an alternative therapy, often under the medical radar.
In the past decade, integrative medicine centers have opened across the country.
According to the American Hospital Association, the percentage of U.S. hospitals that offer complementary therapies has more than doubled in less than a decade, from 8.6% in 1998 to almost 20% in 2004. Another 24% of hospitals said they planned to add complementary therapies in the future. Patients usually pay out of pocket, although some services - such as nutritional counseling, chiropractic treatments, and biofeedback - are more likely to be reimbursed by insurance. Reiki has also been added to the list for insurance reimbursement.
